It Happened in Hamburg

one week after the G20 protests ....
we drove by and I managed a couple of shots through the back passenger window .... a mess of distruction - so sad ...

so far the comments indicate that some people did not hear about the riots at the G20 in Hamburg .... it made the news in Canada, and I saw the after effects one week later ......

Nice docu capture, but such a shame when a city with as much to savor as Hamburg falls victim to such defacement.

Yes. It really happened. I only grasped the full extent of the riots, the terror and the vandalism while watching a one hour documentation a few days after. It was shear unbelievable. Cars up in flames, people being beaten and thrown stones at, shops demolished (not to rob but to vandalise) and after it was over people in tears. Because they could simply not believe what happened to their hometown. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
