Als Mark Gillespie "Mother" auf der Akustik-Gitarre spielte, wurde es ruhig im Saal und das Publikum, das mit der Musik von Pink Floyd aufgewachsen ist, lauschte verzückt. Auch die jüngeren Zuhörer konnten sich dem einfühlsamen Song nicht entziehen.

"Die ersten Töne von „Shine on You Crazy Diamond“ bei optimaler Akustik im Stadttheater verzückten das Publikum. ...ertönte die markante Stimme von Mark Gillespie, sicher in allen Stimmlagen. ... Gefühlvolle Balladen wie „Wish You were Here“, wechselten mit bedrohlichen Instrumentals wie „Welcome to the Machine“ und dann kam das totale Gegenteil, „Mother“, ohne Technik, nur die Stimme von Mark Gillespie begleitet von einer Akustik-Gitarre, einfach nur schön."
