Lahar stream after volcano eruption

Short time after the last eruption of the volcano Gunung Agung on Bali an heavy lahar stream run down in the riverbed.
Lahar is an Indonesian term that describes a hot or cold mixture of water and rock fragments that flows down the slopes of a volcano and typically enters a river valley. Small seasonal events are sometimes referred to as "debris flows", especially in the Cascades.

  Zurzeit, liebe Benita, ist es ruhig, aber eine kleine weiße Rauchfahne steigt immer noch am Gunung Agung empor. Doch ein Ausbruch steht bevor, das ist gewiss, man weiß nur nicht wann. Hoffen wir nur, dass die Bevölkerung nicht zu leiden hat, Gruß Wolfgang
