View from the hills in the south-east of Samos across the narrow Samos straits towards the coast of Turkey. The closest distance between the European Union and Turkey! (and thousands of illegal migrants trying to cross it!)

Only very bad dirt roads are leading through this region.

In the prickly green, please notice the tiny "investors look-out point "on the site of the planned 5 star resort "Halcyon Hills".
