At the left hand side is the head frame of the Fondon colliery, decommissioned at the early 90s and preserved to host the mining company archives. Behind the frame are part of the bays of the Duro Felguera company metal mechanical works decommissioned at the early 70s. At the right hand side is the cooling tower and coke ovens stack of the former steel mills, scrapped at the early 80s. The cooling tower hostes a little museum of steel industry. Those elements and some others are part of an industrie kultur route at this town named by La Felguera, once one of the most important industrial towns in northern Spain because of the coal, steel and chemicals.
