she was carefully watching her offspring.....

isn't it amazing - you join a photo club thing and you learn each day something new!

Let nature be nature.
If there are shadows or twigs, that is the bushveld, so let it be.

Molo Irma, jolly wonderfull shot, this lioness is still very yound herself.
It would have been her first cubs.
On her next moult she should lose most of her spots on her paws, she is well fed and in great shape thanks to wonderful folk like yourself, that support and fund the wildlife society.

john, thanks for your remarks which we appreciate very much!
YES we were standing there in a landcruiser for quite a while watching the pride.
and you are right we could have moved a bit backwards and maybe we could have done it without starting the engine again - we just didn't think of it - guess we were too fascinated
the branch looks a bit strange but that's exactly the vista we had. so, it's a docu ;)

You two are such wonderfull photographers,This picture is simple divine.I take it you were in a vehicle safely taking this shot.especialy when she is looking after her cubs. The only thing that bothers me a bit, if I may be so bold to say,is the banch coming out of top of her head, perhaps your driver could have reversed a bit.But this is of little consquence really. the focusing is spot on and the colours perfect,Well done and congratulationsfor a good job done.
