Wonderful use of selective color. Pops that phone booth out into the viewer's face and lets the textures in the b/w provide a grounding force for the entire composition. Elements are well placed in the frame. Dramatic yet understated. Wide angle viewpoint really enhances that foreground, even if the DOF softens it, it tones down the perspective to keep the eye focused in the middle ranges of the focal plane where all the drama is.

Looks like the phone box has just landed there & caused a ripple in the stones.
