An African Elephant (Loxodonta africana) with a broken tusk.

The elephant is the largest and heaviest living terrestrial animal which remain in our world. Every 15 Minutes an elephant is killed in human wildlife conflict or due to poaching (around 96 elephants per day and far more than 30.000 a year). If we can not stop this development, our lovely and majestic african elephant will be extinct soon and will leave a big hole in the african ecosystem.
