Marine One on the Move

While shooting Washington architectural details in buildings along Independence Avenue on an afternoon
in 2002, I heard the approaching “Whomp-Whomp-Whomp” of what had to be a very large helicopter.

I looked up just in time to catch Marine One, the Presidential machine looming over the roofs of the
Agriculture Department as it headed toward the Washington Monument on its way to the White House.

The photo was made on Kodak Tri-X film and is part of an extensive portfolio of Washington motifs in black and white.

It is available in archival gallery prints and as a custom printed Photo Note card.
