Mekong river during sunset
The Mekong River has many names: Laotian call it Mènam Khong, Thai Mae Nam Khong, Cambodian Mékôngk, the Vietnamese Sông Tiên Giang and the Chinese Lancang. The river is the longest river in Southeast Asia, the 7th longest in Asia, and the 12th longest in the world. Here it forms part of the international border between Laos and Thailand.
