Morning Mist

Getting up with the cries of the Imam announcing morning prayer - and the end of breakfast as it is Ramadan - a dense fog covers the houses.

Very close, the sound of breaking waves, gulls, and the eternal wind.

Love this photograph, Greg. The pastel tones, the hazy air and the warm colors of life. I imagine the morning there (with the prayers, before the sun breaks through) very content and magic.

  Thank you Jana... yes, it was exotic, unexpectedly exotic, also poor, rough, and bewildering to experience what people endure during Ramadan - fasting in that heat, God, for what.
