Boy from my neighbourhood.

Most Ugandans do not have a bathroom, instead there is a 5feet high box, 3 sides walled one with a curtain, no roof. One gets the water from a pump, carried in a jerry can and then you wash yourself with a small piece of barsoap.

When I go to the villages and sleep in their mud huts,
that's the way I shower, too...
-except people would make some hot water for me to honor the mzungu...

I really like it: you shower when the sun sets,
beside the colorful spectacle you see the kids,
bringing back the cattle, goats and chicken to their houses,
where all together would share the same room for the night...

das ist doch die natürlichste Sache der Welt, bei uns kann man nicht mal nen kleinen Pups lassen, schon ist es peinlich ;-)
in die Galerie muss es aber trotzdem nicht rein.

Ich verstehe dieses moralische Aufbegehren nicht ganz...
Es ist ein Foto, das berührt (wie man an der Diskussion auch sieht)

Und die besten Street- und Kriegsfotografen waren "schamlos"

Und so leben Kinder nun mal in zwei Dritteln der Welt, während wir hier wie die Maden im Speck sitzen (Schreiber eingeschlossen)

Es ist Sozialfotografie (ich hab mich zwar nie gefragt, wie und wo ein Großteil der Menschheit ohne Spül-WC sein Geschäft verrichtet, aber jetzt...)
