Noch sind nicht alle Opfer identifiziert: Quelle Deutschlandfunk Kultur: Von den 2753 Opfern in New York konnten Mark Desire und sein Team bis heute 1647 Menschen eindeutig identifizieren. Kurz vor dem 20. Jahrestag der Anschläge gelang das für zwei weitere Tote: Dorothy Morgan aus Long Island, die im 94. Stock des Nordturms für eine Versicherung gearbeitet hatte, und ein Mann, dessen Name auf Wunsch seiner Familie nicht veröffentlicht wurde. Trotz dieser Erfolge: Das genaue Schicksal von 1106 Toten ist bis heute nicht vollständig geklärt.

Not all victims have been identified yet: Source Deutschlandfunk Kultur: Of the 2753 victims in New York, Mark Desire and his team have been able to identify 1647 people until today. Shortly before the 20th anniversary of the attacks, this was achieved for two more deaths: Dorothy Morgan from Long Island, who died in the 94. Floor of the north tower had worked for an insurance company, and a man whose name was not published at the request of his family. Despite these successes, the exact fate of 1106 deaths has not been fully clarified to this day.
