in 1891 the Hansen family built a homestead here and opened a post office .... now there is nothing but a dock, 2 houses (we saw one man who lives by himself in one of them), one barn, a closed-down store/museum here .... and plenty of beach and land and deer and bears visiting - and the view of the Johnstone Strait and Vancouver Island mountains is fantastic .....
and it looks as if everything is for sale :-)))

i have an inkling that we might see you move into one of the abandoned houses one day! the place is already embracing you with its wooden arms! ; ))) and you sound as though it has charmed you good! can almost picture you sitting on the pier in bermuda shorts, holding a fishing rod in your hand, a bucket of fish at your side and a slobbering bear buddy* at the other – chums for life, as long as the salmon bites… ; ) hugs, sabine.
