Praying to Hindu trinity

To Brahma the creator, Wisnu the preserver and Siwa the destroyer.
Sitting quietly, men cross-legged, women kneeling to calm theirselves and breathing in harmony in preparation for prayer.
Washing face and hands in the smoke of the incense.
Praying with empty hands to connect to their own soul.
Holding a flower in their fingertips to pray to the supreme One.
Having discarded the single flower now holding different coloured flowers in the finger tips to pray to the three God manifestations- Creator, Preserver and Destroyer. (Brahma, Wisnu and Siva).
Holding three or more flowers honouring the manifestations of the One God in All
Praying with empty hands beseeching peace in our selves and others.
and at least
Waiting quietly for the priest (Pemangku) to come and sprinkle holy water and ‘blessed’ the rice bija as well.

    Eine sehr eindrucksvolle Szene, ähnliches habe ich vor mehr als 40 Jahren in Bali erlebt und fotografiert.
    Hat das der kleinste in der Gruppe tatsächlich ein Tablet auf seinem Oberschenkel liegen ???

      Das ist Mayun mit seinem Smartphone auf dem Schenkel. Mayun ist mein Patenkind und Sohn meiner Freundin Mayang. Ein Tablett gehört mittlerweile zur balinesischen Kultur und ist schon bei den Kleinsten nicht mehr wegzudenken,
      In Sembung hatte ich schon viele  Male an Festivitäten teilgenommen.
      Hier ein Foto das ich vor Jahren von Mayun machte, damals ganz ohne dem obligatorischen Tablett.

    ...ich hatte das Glück einmal an einer Zeremonie am Lempujang teilzunehmen....sehr berührend...und ganz toll Dein Foto....es erinnert mich....VLG Benita
