Purple Spring Crocus

The fluorescent colours of the Purple Spring Crocus shine already in full glory.
Together with the Snowdrop, the Crocus is a typical late winter bloomer.

Purple Spring Crocus grows wild in Greece, most of the Balkan countries and North West Turkey.

Dutch name : Bonte paarse krokus
German name : Frühlings-Krokus
Latin name : Crocus vernus var. purpureus grandiflorus

Ja, jetzt kommen die Krokusse heraus, der Frühling ist bald hier. Wunderbar ist diese Gegenlichtaufnahme, Mark. Mir gefällt besonders, dass die Blüten von innen heraus leuchten!
