"Salus populi suprema lex esto"

"Let the good of the people be the supreme law" is the original translation credited to the roman poet Cicero and was later adopted as the state motto of Missouri. Being a part of the Louisiana Purchase, it is appropriate that the father of this "deal" be honored.
Thomas Jefferson, was not only the driving force behind the Lousiana Purchase, but was also the third president of the United States. Jefferson was a noted statesman, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the author of the Bill of Rights. His political heritage continues to this day, eventhough one of his succesors has tried to make a farce of the document which has been a guide and mainstay for the American way of life.

Quite an impressive image in great details, the B&W adds depth and underscores the dominating effect of this beautiful structure and sculpture that you have so superbly captured in this picture. The narration under the photo is very much appreciated and helps the viewer get a better understanding of our country's young history. My compliments.
