Santa's Magic

The star burst between Santa and the approahing girls occured naturally, I did not add it in.
I was using a slow shutter speed to try and get motion in the people approaching but maybe it would have worked better with a little faster shutter speed.

People have proposed numerous theories to explain the star of Bethlehem — the star mentioned in the Bible that led the wise priestly kings to Christ. Theories have included planetary alignments, comets, UFOs, moving lights, and supernovas. The most likely explanation is that the star was specially created by God for the sole purpose of announcing the birth of Jesus Christ to those who were able to recognize it as such.

Given the title and capture, I would have done
away with the whole upper half of the photograph and
just cropped it showing Santa and the approaching people.

I still love the photo, though.

    cheers, mick

: ))) how do you know it's authentic? there's so many of them these days. even in your picture – little impostors, wanting their share of the (x-mas) pie and putting on a show for everyone willing to watch – a great one, though, show, i mean! ; )) and a great shot of it! greetings, sabine. p.s.: if god really did create the star for the sole purpose you describe in your little caption, do you think he'd allow it to accompany the very worldly santa? ; ))))))
