A monk traveled to the desert seeking enlightenment. He came across a vast expanse of sand dunes, and was struck by their beauty. He decided to capture the moment with his camera.
He took a photograph of the dunes, with their intricate patterns and shifting shadows. But when he looked at the image on the camera screen, it was completely monochromatic - just shades of gray.
At first, the monk was disappointed. He had hoped to capture the vivid colors of the desert, the golden yellows and fiery oranges. The monk understood that true beauty lies not in the colors we see, but in the way we perceive the world around us.
