Unsere Sommerreise führte uns u.a. auch nach Bologna, der Hauptstadt der norditalienischen Region Emilia-Romagna. Die siebtgrößte Stadt Italiens (ca. 390.000 Einwohner) ist historisch, lebhaft und bietet vielfältige kulinarische Möglichkeiten. Und was darf in so einer Stadt natürlich nicht fehlen? Richtig, Kirchen! Etwas unbemerkt in einer Seitenstraße stand dieses rote Exemplar im Glanze der brütenden Nachmittagssonne (über 40°C) … die Chiesa San Giovanni in Monte, eine römisch-katholische Kirche aus dem 15. Jahrhundert. Meine Meinung zu Kirchen kennt ihr ja vielleicht, aber architektonisch finde ich sie äußerst reizvoll!
Wie steht ihr dazu? Geht ihr in Kirchen?

Our summer trip also took us to Bologna, the capital of the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. The seventh largest city in Italy (approx. 390,000 inhabitants) is historic, lively and offers a wide range of culinary options. And what should not be missing in a city like this? That's right, churches! This red one stood somewhat unnoticed in a side street in the blazing afternoon sun (over 40°C) ... the Chiesa San Giovanni in Monte, a Roman Catholic church from the 15th century. You may know my opinion of churches, but architecturally I find it extremely attractive!
