Small Hmong kids join the celebration
My favorite part of traveling in Laos has to be the people, and more specifically the hilltribes children. Unlike many European kids which are locked indoors all day (for their safety), afraid of dirt (for their health), and forbidden from speaking to strangers under any circumstances (for their security ), this kids in this part of Asia are free range. They are always out playing, happy to talk to me as a tourists to practice their English, love playing with anyone who wants to join, enjoy having photos taken and are overall very friendly.

Dein Kommentar, lieber Mathias, spricht mir aus der Seele. Es ist ein Grund, warum ich so oft meine Zeit mit diesen Menschen verbringe, weil ich mich eben schon nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr als Fremder fühle. Das kommende Weihnachten bin ich wieder bei ihnen. Genauso sind sie, die kids (besonders die Mädchen) in diesen Ländern. Nach kürzester Zeit kommt man sich nicht mehr als Tourist vor, sondern als willkommener Freund. Dein Bild zeigt so viel von ihrer Zutraulichkeit. Gefällt mir , Wolfgang!Herlicher Gruß
