Stormy stormy night
This is from the street near my parent's house in Iowa, overlooking the Mississippi river. The bridges stretch across to Illinois, and is one of the beautiful views when I'm home. I left the lens open on bulb mode until I thought a good stretch of lightning had passed through my field of vision, perhaps 10 or 12 seconds on bulb mode, with the aperature on 16.0

welcome to FC Terri, what a great shot !love the colours and lights in this image, but the only thing i would give you advice about is the foreground and top of the image to dark, and cropping that out would make this more dramatic :)
