this is a young man who totally covered himself with sand and stands there immobile for hours hoping to get a hand-out from people - a "mime", who moves from time to time with jerky motions (in the Mexican heat and quite amazing)

I thought its a concrete monument - a sculpture.

O.k., wenn es ihm Spaß macht!

Ehrlich gesagt, kann ich Menschen, die sich von oben bis unten mit Sand oder Farbe einschmieren, um Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen - auch wenn es noch so interessant aussieht, nichts abgewinnen.

Für ihn hier muss das still stehen doch verdammt anstrengend sein!
