The Flåm Line

The Flåm Line is a 20.2-kilometer long railway line between Myrdal and Flåm in Aurland Municipality, Norway. A branch line of the Bergen Line, it runs through the valley of Flåmsdalen and connects the mainline with Sognefjord. The line's elevation difference is 866 meters, it has ten stations, twenty tunnels and one bridge. Because of its steep gradient and picturesque nature, the Flåm Line is now almost exclusively a tourist service and has become the third-most visited tourist attraction in Norway.
We disappointingly were not able to get a ticket for any of the trains throughout the day, except one that would have left us stranded in Myrdal andd too late to return to the ship - it seemed the whole ship was in line for getting tickets ....

Very handsome train, and so nice to read about it. Definitely on my list.
Your photos have definitely moved Norway up my list of not-to-miss travel destinations!

Vom Boot aus kann man noch viel mehr sehen, aber auch eine Zugfahrt ist auf jeden Fall spannend.
Beim nächste Mal klappt bestimmt euch eine Fahrkarten zu bekommen :)

Diese Traditionsbahnen sind Anziehungspunkte ... da muss man bestimmt lange vorher schon die Karten bestellen...
aber allein der Anblick dieses tollen Zuges ist schon ein Erlebnis...
Uns ging es mit der Straßenbahn Linie 28 in Lissabon so...
es ist schade, aber dort vor Ort sein ist ein tolles Gefühl..

At first glance, I thought: Why do they need such a long train of many wagons there. Since the train is a tourist attraction, that explains the length.
Through your shooting position, the image has a wonderful depth.

Le cadrage de cette perspective sur le train et le quai a été très bien pensé car nous y avons plusieurs lignes de fuite, les barrière blanches , la ligne jaune , les lignes du train , le tout agrémenté et adouci par le fantastique reflet sur le wagon de droite qui occupe le tiers de la composition .
