The Bovine Bolete is a fungus of coniferous forests across Europe, including subalpine regions in the Alps.

This species grows nearly always in the neighbourhood of Scots pines.

Dutch name : Koeienboleet
German name : Kuh-Röhrling
Latin name : Suillus bovinus
