The Fungi World (299) : Brown Flesh Bracket

At this time of the year fungi are rather rare, but they do exist, like this brown flesh bracket that I spotted during a winter hike.

It’s a rare fungus that in whole or in part is covered with a fine hispid felt.

Can be parasitic on apple trees in orchards !

Dutch name : Bruine borstelkurkzwam
German name : Braune Borstentramete
Latin name : Coriolopsis gallica
