The Living Forest (365) : Pasque flower

Pasque flower is a plant with striking purple spring flowers and fern-like foliage. Other names include wind flower, prairie crocus, meadow anemone and Dane’s blood.

In Belgium it’s a very rare species but I found a specimen growing in the ‘Wolfsbush’ at Montenau.

The plant is highly toxic, in particular for dogs !

Dutch name : Wildemanskruid
German name : Kuhschelle
Latin name : Pulsatilla vulgaris

Eine richtig gute und schöne Makro-Aufnahme zeigst du hier, lieber Mark. Klasse die Bildqualität und auch der Hintergrund sehr gelungen. Leider sehe ich seit Aufstellung der neuen FC die Fotos nur noch im Kleinformat - so wie dieses hier in 7 x 9,5 cm auf meinem Bildschirm. Das ist so ein Quatsch und ich hoffe, daß die FC-Macher dies bald wieder ändern werden !!!!!!! So viele FC-Mitglieder sind frustriert !!!!! Liebe Grüße an dich Mark, Elfi Cecile

Sie ist hier auch nicht häufig - aber dort, wo sie zu finden ist, gibt es z.T. sehr große Bestände!

I am glad you are back and hopefully you have been able to adjust to the new fc! Very nice and intense colors, I like the yellow and the nice purple on top of the yellow.
