Truth is that some truths only come out truly if taken in B&W. The sharp black and white contrasts contrast sharply and elegantly with the elusive symbolism of the photo. Who is the self, how does s/he relate to the ring and the ring to the text of the book and the book to the ring…although the onlooker is beholder and reader at the same time the questions remain unanswered? In this respect the symbolism is well chosen: The book stands for openness and accessible knowledge, the ring for unity – for instance of the self. The shadow of the ring is in the shape of a heart – the power of life whereas shadows signify transitoriness…Beautifully mysterious!

Hello!!! I am sure that I know this photo from somewhere.
I even think that you had explained that the text was written in Romanian, am I right?
    Greetings
