It makes for a very effective abstract. It seems that some definition is lost towards the top of the picture, or is that just where the teeth of the flint stone are a bit worn ?
Well: this is an artifact already in out of use in the developed countries (it has been substituted for machines) that is used to crush the cereals, while separating the grain of the straw.
These pieces inlaid on the wood are small pieces of flint, a stone a lot used by the human being since the prehistory.
Do you remember the famous Flintstones? :-)
