We filled our bottles with enriched oxygen (NITROX), because we can expect to have to extend the base time in depth, which is the number of minutes we can stay in depth, without a long, necessary decompression on emergence. Normally the oxygen content is 21%, we increase it to 36%.
Already on descent, we came in a huge current and had trouble staying together in the group. At about 23 meters depth we hook on the reef, so as not to be pulled along with the current. In the wake we fly like flags in the wind and wait for the passing sharks.
