Some late afternoon sunlight finds its way into this verdant clearing
at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens on a mid-October afternoon.

The leaves highlighted in its glow are sure signs that autumn's palette of reds and golds
will soon be joining the lush greens of this inviting parkland setting in northern Virginia.
