A Place Called Shoal Bay (2)

not much is left of the thriving community of Shoal Bay on East Thurlow Island that was here years ago - except one house and several outbuildingsand remains of the old goldmine .... but you can get a great meal there and meet some interesting people, and we anchored here after the big fog and explored the site the next morning.
this shows the view one has from the house/restaurant onto the mountains and waterways across from the bay.

Well, maybe the old goldmine doesn't exist but the place remains the same beautiful and very welcoming with this scenery.The mountains all around are fantastic!

seems we all happily walked all the way up the boardwalk with you to enjoy this beautiful and friendly view of the amazingly steep coastal hills and the waterways across from the bay! beautifully captured and i bet that steaming cup of coffee tasted SO good after that stressful evening out there in the fog! ; ) hugs, sabine.
