While walking along the shores of a lake, I spotted this fisherman proudly showing his catch of a common carp.

The carp is a freshwater fish living in lakes and large rivers in Europe.
The wild populations of this species are considered vulnerable to extinction !

Dutch name : Schubkarper
German name : Schuppenkarpfen
Latin name : Cyprinus carpio carpio

After a while, the carp got its freedom back and was released into the lake again by the fisherman.

Der Fisch muss fotografiert werden, denn sonst übertreibt der Angler sein Anglerglück!!! Klasse ist die Aufnahme!

What a nice shot, what fascinates me much more than the good old carp are the two good old anglers celebrating the catch ! With due respect : they are so much into it and seem to takle it so seriously that it is almost comical. Thanks for sharing this rather original shot... or rather catch.
