Black-necked Stork ( Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus).

( Critically endangered ). The tallest bird in the island. Nationally endangered bird with at most a handful of breeding pairs in the south of the country. The only reliable place to see it is Ruhunu National Park.
Location - Kumana National Park ( Yala East )
Sri Lanka.
Camera : Nikon D 7100 + NIKKOR 200 - 500mm.
Got this very rare opportunity while participating in a Three Days WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY workshop at the Kumana National Park - Ada Kumbuka Campsite - conducted by the Nikon School - Sri Lanka.
