I took this image of a crocus on the 25/03/2020 around 17:28 o'clock in the garden.
I used a Canon EOS 77D with the Tamron 90mm macro-lens. The image is resized and got a color correction of 30-255. I didn't edit it further yet. (5842)
Interesting composition -
to concentrate on the upper shape of the flowers.
That makes it different.
One suggestion - you should have experimented with the focussing /depth of field. - to
get the petals sharper. That is a problem that i myself often experience - and i struggle to solve it, (if I ever do solve it at all), after all these years.
Mark.
Hi Mark,
thanks for your comment. I made several pictures of the crocus - one approach was to concentrate to the upper shape of the flower. It fits better to the "landscape format". I am not sure whether this is the right English term for it :-( The print options dialog calls it like this.
I usually experiment with the depth-of-field and use different apertures. But even bigger numbers like aperture 9 don't yield enough depth-of-field to get the entire petals displayed sharp. And I don't mind so much since the background would be sharp too (what I try to avoid).
