The term "Keys" comes from the Indian word "kayo", meaning "small island".

Seahorse Key is an important breeding colony for bird species like brown pelican, heron, cormorant, ibis, osprey as well as other migratory birds. The island is part of the Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge.

Excellente vision de cette réserve protégée d'oiseaux en Floride, une nature préservée, des palmiers superbes au bord de l'eau et des oiseaux qui peuvent vivre tranquillement, c'est très beau! Amitiés, Michèle
