would there have been the chance to get a few steps back to avoid cutting the roof of the first building of the row?

  Thank you for your comment. There would certainly have been opportunities.
  Should you (not) cut off the roofs? I often thought that I attach too much importance to cutting off "nothing", choosing my picture detail rather too large than too small

  Danke für deine Anmerkung. Es hätte sicher Möglichkeiten gegeben.
  Soll man die Dächer (nicht) abschneiden? Ich dachte oft, dass ich zu viel Wert darauf lege "nichts" abzuschneiden, meinen Bildausschnitt eher zu groß als zu klein wähle.
