I know that it is very difficult to get a good capture of a black cat - especially in the sun - not to mention the bright ice. Very well done!! Great job!

that's a really beautiful shot, mark!! the cat looks just great – keen hunter's eyes! wonder what she/he's after, though – dogs? blackberries? or rather photographers ; ))? – amazing that there's still blackberries around, too!! cat's seem to not mind the cold – every morning i find cat-paw tracks in the snow, right next to our little vagabond rabbit's tracks… greetings, sabine.
