Dokk1 in Aarhus, Denmark - and its fabulous modern architecture … June 2018

Dokk1 or Dokken is a building, public library and culture center in Aarhus, Denmark. It is situated on Hack Kampmanns Plads in the city center by the waterfront next to the Custom House. Dokk1 is part of the much larger development project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus. It is designed by schmidt hammer lassen architects and Kristine Jensen. Construction lasted from June 2011 to June 2015.

Da erklärt sich der Begriff "Skyscraper", obwohl es wahrscheinlich eher die außergewöhnliche Perspektive ist, die vortäuscht, dass die Gebäudespitze direkt bis zum Himmel recht. Wunderschön klare Farben und ein toller Kontrast von Blau und Gelb geben dem Bild sein freundliches Aussehen. Dass du die Lampe als Eckläufer im Bild behalten hast, finde ich gut.

  thank you, Claudine … you are right, and I was debating taking out the tall lamp tower - and then I left it in because it comes in a diagonal line right out of the corner and exactly parallel to the roofline of the building ….
