Moorhen chick

This fluffy little Moorhen chick is so feathery that it can walk easily on top of floating leaves.

Moorhens are typical wetland birds, breeding mostly in well vegetated waters, as can be seen in my shot.

Dutch name : Waterhoen (kuiken)
German name : Teichralle (Küken)
Latin name : Gallinula chloropus

Herrlich dieses kleine Vögelchen. Als Küken sehen sie immer noch so unvollkommen aus.

Besonders gut gefallen mir hier die verschiedenen Grüntöne, vor denen sich der Vogel sehr gut abhebt!
