  one can do all the right things such as
  going to the right places
  having the right equipment
  etc etc
  but a photographer needs nothing but luck
  to take a great picture - like this one ...

  want to add something besides luck , patience and a knowledge of behavior of animals will help you further to achieve what you would like to photograph , finally that portion of luck is sometimes more then a bonus , from a cold and rainy Belgium , Regards

  Hi Sebastian , i understand and I would double it whenever possible. indeed this was one of my best photographic journeys to Africa since I started over 2 decades ago . and yes they are unpredictable , one of the animals I fear the most together with buffalo , more to come in near future .   Hi Paul , thanks for the comment , the drama came within few minutes after this shot , she jumped from the tree on an impala and killed it fast , this is also nature , survive of the fittest , regards
