The Potter #1

After 5 years I have returned back to one of my favorite subjects : the potters workshop. This not only because its a jump away but also because this atmosphere of traditional handcraft fascinates me anytime.

Wow, Sabine stolen my thoughts:) there's something essential on this art, you work with mother earth, the art of bringing up something new from the raw clay..it fascinanted me from kid..we have a culture made out of clay, I myself did some potters , my fingers in contact with the soft clay, the coldness of it is something that I have very deep in my soul, a revelation that opened my brain to the core of nature.

    Excellent shot.

    Hugs

touching and shaping clay with one's bare hands: one of the most sensuous handicrafts of all! and one of the most archetypal, if you ask me: there's something primevally creative about it – in the very sense of the word: according to scripture, god molded adam from clay… ; ) a great hommage to the working, forming hands! and what beautiful and delicate hands they are!! greetings, sabine.
