and I was lucky to be there and walk on it .... two days later came the big snowfall, and then the big meltdown .... such short-lived pleasure ....

Here in Northern Germany it's cold under 0° C only for a view days, not long enough, to make the ice stable enough for carrying people. The lake you show is a fine place especially for young people for skating or playing ice hockey. A wonderful scene!Warm regards Bernd
