Why this picture?

Because this is part of how we get the most and truly unique out of our holidays..

The burger buns are homemade (by me) with organic flour from Trumansburg, the fresh buffalo ground, the (sheep) cheese and the salad are fresh from the Farmer´s Market in Ithaca, NY, the dressing is Chef Lerman´s "Finger Lakes Black-Strap Yankee Bar-B-Q" from Penn Yan, NY.

Its always fun and interesting to browse through the different markets, to get fresh, healthy food and most exciting: talking to the people, who are selling their produce!

Weil es ein Teil unserer "Wohlfühl"-Urlaubsgestaltung ist!

Die Burger-Brötchen habe ich mit Bio-Mehl aus Trumansburg selbst gebacken, das frische Bison-Mett, der Salat und der (Schafs-) Käse kommen vom Bauernmarkt in Ithaca, NY, das Dressing ist aus Penn Yan, NY (Chef Lerman´s "Finger Lakes Black-Strap Yankee Bar-B-Q") und das spannenste dabei: sich mit den Leuten zu unterhalten, die ihre Lebensmittel dort verkaufen. Da fühlen wir das authentische Amerika!

yummy looking indeed - very authentic too, and yes, you have the
right idea about meeting people and eating the local food to get to
know the life of a country !!

Stunning how a "simple home made subject" turns into a very good photograph.
Took some time till decided to comment.
At first thanks for let us jump in your holidays gastronomic high-lights, description of a really wished short time delivery of regional goods and finnaly the shot itself is very much an appetizer due the natural colors from ingredients and set up. Mouth watering right now!
